The History of Word of Life Empowerment Church

 

Word of Life Empowerment is indeed a ministry called of God for such a

time as this!

Years before the birth of Word of Life Empowerment Church, the Lord

spoke to (then) Asst. Pastor Todney Bynes that he would soon begin

pastoring a church. Dr. Bynes was mentored, pastored and nurtured by the

late Rev. Drs. Robert and Mary A. Jones (We’re for Jesus Ministries) for 15

years and 4 years under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Yvette Williams.

With the leading of the Spirit of God, prayer, blessings, Godly council and

support of his family, Pastor Bynes began to move in the direction of

pastoring.

In November of 2012, the spoken Word given to him years ago came to life

as the Word of Life Empowerment was established. The ministry was

established under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Todney Bynes; and our first church service was held on Sunday,

December 2, 2012 at the Best Western Hotel in Jacksonville Florida. After

approximately 6 months of being at the hotel, we began to grow out of that

space. Therefore, in July of 2013 we relocated to our new location at

Chaffee Pointe Plaza where we continue to acquire units and additional

space. To God be the Glory!

Our focus/mission is “Empowering the people to advance the Kingdom of

God by doing the will of God”.

We continue to experience the faithfulness of God by growth, debt

freedom, deliverance, right relationships, mentorships, continuous

supply of His Spirit, and undisputable revelation of the Word of God.

Under the divine Leadership of God and our Pastor, The Reverend Dr.

Todney Bynes, who has the heart of a shepherd and a great desire to see

God exalted in the Earth, the Word of Life Empowerment Church continues to be an instrument in the hand of God.
